SDP Cartwright graduated from the Australian Graduate School of Management with a Master of Business Administration in 1979. His Honour is a Senior Deputy President of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission based in Sydney. The Governor General in Council appointed SDP Cartwright to the Tribunal for a period of 5 years commencing on 8 March 2004.
